Capacity Building Stream

Assessment Grant

Up to $5,000

Apply for this grant to complete an assessment to evaluate your social enterprise’s overall investment and procurement readiness. This grant will pair your social enterprise with an Assessment Partner to determine your level of readiness. When selecting an Assessment Partner, please select an Assessment Partner which is the best geographical fit. The Program Administrator will review your choice of Assessment Partner and may be in touch with you about your choice. Please click on any Assessment Partner logo to find out more information about them.

The assessment will also be used to determine if your social enterprise is ready to apply for the Capacity Building Grant. An assessment will be undertaken by the Assessment Partner to illustrate the current strengths and health of your social enterprise. A common assessment tool and process will be applied by the Assessment Partner (regardless of the Assessment Partner selected). In addition to the assessment report, the Assessment Partner will also work with your social enterprise to develop a Capacity Building Plan to serve as a road map for your social enterprise to become investment or procurement ready.

To prepare for your application you can find a non-fillable PDF assessment application form here. This includes a list of what information and documentation to have on hand. Please note applications will not be accepted in this format and are for information purposes only.

Apply for the Capacity Building Grant to bring your social enterprise closer to investment or procurement readiness. This work with a service provider will be matched for the appropriate skills and resources that you need to improve your social enterprise.
